BOB ROSS (2016)

Details

Industrial Design Award 2016

OUR "HAPPY LITTLE ROBOT"

Bob Ross is TNT's STRONGHOLD robot, and the first of TNT's robots to participate in finals and win a regional. Continuing our application of simple, practical designs, Bob Ross uses a "spaghetti" collector for low goal scoring and retrieval, and a manipulator arm for most outer works obstacles. New this year are Talon SRX magnetic encoders, allowing Bob to perform a highly accurate position-based autonomous program. With a strong drive train and low profile, Bob is almost incapable of being flipped over in competition and has righted and pushed many robots that have fallen victim to the outer works. We pride Bob Ross as being one of the fastest robots to breach the outer works and score many low goal points.
